Enrique Carvajal, better known as Sebastían, is a mexican sculptor that is known internationally for his monumental work. His style is based on kinetic art.
Since 1968 he has had over 120 individual exhibitions in Mexico, Germany, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, Holland, Sweden, Norway, Ireland, England, Portugal, Italy, Denmark, Canada, Finland, USA, France, Japan, Switzerland and Venezuela.
Among the many awards he has received there are the Superior Prize awarded to him by the Hakone Open Air Museum in Japan from their Contest paying Homage to Henry Moore; the Bronze Award from the ABC Ashi Broadcasting Corporation at Osaka; the Jury’s Award for the International Graphic Triennial from Norway; the Grand Award from the contest ORC-City from Osaka. In the painting arena he has gotten the Mainichi Award from the Painting Trienal at Osaka. He also won the contest to create a sculpture that would act as a symbol for Sakai City, in Japan, where you can find the work called Pheonix Arc since 1994.
